United Kingdom disengagement from the European Union

OnMarch 19, 2018, the European Union and the United Kingdom reached a broadagreement on the terms of the two-year transition period after Britain'sdisengagement from the European Union in March 2019. On June 20, the"Withdrawal from the European Union Act" proposed by the governmentwas passed, establishing the legal framework after the formal withdrawal fromthe European Union on March 29, 2019. On June 26, the British Prime MinisterTeresa May's Brexit Act was officially approved to allow Britain to leave theEuropean Union. On July 12, the United Kingdom has issued a white paper onBrexit.
